The Chinese are still struggling with the soft sell.

I’ve spent hours wondering about the thought process that ultimately produced this. It’s starts off so promising, derails just ten words in and finishes as a pile of charred wreckage 11 words later.  In a way it’s a perfectly written Haiku about bad advertising.
